Bouquini – inspired by handheld flower bouquets. The design fuses functional aspects of a bouquet collar and a flower vase to provide a graceful stage for single blooms or small bouquets. The vases can be handheld or placed on a table in a playful angle. Its highly polished, mirrorlike, metal surface reflects the displayed flowers and doubles their visual appearance. The vases were produced in a limited edition by a traditional silverware manufacturer in Germany. Each vase was formed into shape from a flat sheets of brass by a process called metal spinning. After being shaped the vases went through several stages of polishing to achieve their highly reflective surface. The silver version of Bouquini went through an additional process stage, the silver plating.
